How do I know what size to order?
On our product pages, we give the supplied (unshrunk) diameter and, where applicable, the final (shrunk) diameter. For braids and some non-shrink sleeving, application ranges are also provided. To find the correct size for your application, you will need 2 measurements -the outside diameter of the cable or component to be covered as well as the diameter(s) of any components or cabling the sleeve will need to pass over during fitting. Compare these two measurements to the information provided on our product pages to find the best fit. Where your application is fitted inside another component, you may also need to consider the wall thickness of products. The figure given for this is the final wall thickness when fully shrunk or as supplied for non-shrink tubings. For the length of cut pieces, it is worth remembering that longitudinal change when shrinking is minimal, however where braids and non-shrink sleeving is at the higher end of their application range, there may be a perceptible shortening in sleeve length. If in doubt, please contact us for advice and/or samples.
